Ankh has pretty long history (mid-June 2005-until now) on EU-Hellscream realm. During it existence guild changed names three times.
Original core members of today’s Ankh formed first guild in mid-June 2005 under the name Cro Cops. Today’s guild master (Mlaen) and two raiding members (Marniee, Neno) are still in Ankh. Many others changed guilds or stopped playing. Cro Cops was formed by players who were originally from Balkan region (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia) and it stayed as regional guild until January 2006. Its first guild master was Stormeye (today playing under the name Crvena, in Legion). In early January 2006 Cro Cops became international guild. Until September 2005 it became the biggest guild on Hellscream with more then 1000 members. But too many members also made many problems in raiding.
That’s why Cro Cops core raiding members left it and made strictly raiding guild under the name CC Raiders at the end of March 2006. During the CC Raiders era guild killed Onyxia, and cleared Zul'Gurub, Molten Core and AQ20.
At October 3rd 2006 guild changed name again to Ankh. The main reason for changing name was problem with two 40 men raiding groups. Several days after new guild was formed Blackwing Lair was cleared. Soon after that time we killed all bosses in AQ40 up to Twin Emporers and Razoviuos in Naxxramus.
In middle of January 2007 The Burning Crusade was released. Raiding changes from 40 and 20 to 25 and 10 men raid instances made several problems to the guild. As many other guilds Ankh had problems with small raiding groups which also mostly did heroic instances together. These small guilds in big guild made raiding more difficulty and it finally made that guild split in two in early April 2007. Until that time guild was very successful. It has four Karazhan raiding groups, all bosses up to Aran were killed (and him too), King Maulagar was killed in March in Gruul’s Lair, and together with Symbiosis guild killed Doomwalker first time on Hellscream realm. But in early 2007 half or core raiding members (mostly part of Karazhan group 1, and part of group 2) left and formed Legion. In chain reaction that followed many raiding members others left, but Ankh continues to live. By the beginning of June Karazhan and Gruul's Lair were cleared. But summer vacation was main reason why many stopped playing during July and August 2007. Many other core raiders left to other guilds or stopped playing.
To save guild guild officers merged Ankh with Safe Haven at October 14th. In month and the half since merger guild killed Maghteridon in Maghteridon's Lair, Void Reaver in The Eye, Lurker, Morogrim and Hydross in Serpentshrine Cavern, and Nalorakk and Akil'Zon in Zul'Aman. But the new problems occured at the end of November when mostly all officers left to Elysium and guild was disband. Two of remaining officers (Mlaen and Drayden) made decision to come back to Ankh (who was in that time alt guild) with most of ex-Ankh members and part of other ex-Safe Haven members. At the end of November 2007 Ankh was reformed. Right now it seems that bright future is in front of us again.

Important ex-guild members: Stormeye (today playing Crvena in Legion), Darkness (today playing Lailie in Legion), Bibu (Legion), Zemga (Novus Orsa), Selwin (Novus Orsa), Prosaxx (Legion), Macak (Phoenix Raising), Cirohito (quit playing), Ledeni (quit playing), Crohammer (quit playing), Magiklan (moved to other realm), Nenad (unguilded; no longer raiding), Bailien, Tppvi, Feeknld, Paladannie, Locohunter, Earenndil, Chocha, Elwynng, Varys (all in Legion), Ryosis (playing Anaphiras in Clueless), Timtation (Clueless), Nihilanth (Clueless), Merkalie (playing Tarain in Mythology), Maurice (quit playing), Arymilla (quit playing), Knopex (Novus Orsa), Mason (quit playing), Brada (quit raiding), Blades (quit raiding), Gibundead (today playing Gibturbo in Inquisition), Gibbuffa, Prothall, Gandalph (all in Inquisition), Gerardus (Knights of Elune), etc.

Leadership: Since 16th January 2006 guild master is paladin Mlaen. He was 2nd guild master in Cro Cops and guild master of CC Raiders and Ankh, also officer of Safe Haven. Since 2005 many other officers and class leaders have changed.
